About Us

Senior Pastor Quinard B. Adams was born in Quantico, Virginia, and is the son of Andrew and Francis Adams. At age thirteen, he accepted the Lord as his personal Savior and was baptized at Mount Lebanon Baptist Church in Bachelor Hall, Virginia. By age sixteen, he had taken an active role in church leadership, and faithfully served as a junior deacon and a vacation bible school teacher before leaving for college. As a sophomore in college, he accepted the call to the ministry and returned home to preach his initial sermon.

Upon graduation from Hampton University in 1986, Pastor Adams was commissioned as Naval Officer, and was later awarded the Navy Commendation and Navy Achievement Medals for sustained superior performance, while serving aboard the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower, as the Public Affairs Officer.

Pastor Adams resigned his commission in 1992, and left the Navy in hopes of honing his skills as a minister of the gospel. He was ordained in 1996 at Holy Light Church of Deliverance in Portsmouth, Virginia under the leadership of Bishop Samuel L. Carruth. While serving on the Holy Light Board of Elders, Pastor Adams diligently taught weekly bible study. He also served as the Superintendent of the Sunday School Department as well as an instructor at the Holy Light College of Bible. During this time, he also earned both a Master of Divinity Degree in Practical Theology and a Master of Arts Degree in Management from Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

He now serves as the senior pastor of the newly launched Simple Grace & Strong Tower Ministries in Newport News, Virginia. He is married to Brenda Granger Adams and has two children, Brandon and Rachel.

Pastor Adams is a spirit-filled believer who loves the Lord and sees sacrificial service as the only logical response to Christ’s redeeming power. Because of this conviction, he has spent over thirty-four years of ministry earnestly seeking the Lord for revelation and godly perfection and has encouraged those around him to do the same.
